Wine surrounds us today. It is available in wine shops, at the grocery store, and even at gas stations. But despite being everywhere, so many of us stick with what we know, lacking the knowledge (and thick wallets!) to stray too far off the beaten path.
Join John Hogeland--trained chef and once-wine buyer in California--for an engaging afternoon wine tasting and light food-pairing. We will talk about wine in all its forms, from can to barrel, from France to Iowa.
You will come away with a new outlook on the lesser known varietals and will have a base of knowledge to begin to make choices about wines outside the varieties that you already know.
The afternoon includes a complimentary light dinner and a tasting of 5 different wines.
