How does buying a 1/4, 1/2 or whole beef work?

The amount you pay to the farm for your whole beef is $4.25 per pound hanging weight, half is $4.40 and a quarter is $4.55

Milo locker charges ~$1.35 per pound hanging weight for processing

The "all in price" (the total amount you pay for what you take home) comes out to be

What does that mean??

For example for a 650 lb hanging weight (the weight of a whole cow), the approximate cost will be about $3750.

Goats​

 Our whole goats are $8 per pound hanging weight for 35 lb and under, $7.50 per pound for 36-50 lb and $6 per pound for 51 and over.
