On September 12, 2026 Whippoorwill Creek Farms (WCF) will host its first ever songwriters retreat with Iowa songwriters Blake Schneider and Sara Routh. This retreat offers songwriters of all experience levels the opportunity to hone one’s craft in a dedicated time and space rarely afforded by the demands of our daily lives.
Participants will be offered songwriting classes, personal writing time, and song share opportunities. Classes will focus on engaging creativity, dispelling myths, building routines, and practicing new exercises.
Please join us this fall for a day of writing and rejuvenation!
Songwriters Retreat 9/12/2026
The retreat will host 15 participants in a rural farm setting. Participants will arrive the morning of 9/12/26 between 9-9:30 am. The retreat’s first class will be 10:00am and dinner will be at 6:00pm. A campfire, s'mores and songs will follow.
The retreat attendance fee is $150 and includes breakfast scones, a salad bar lunch and a farm-to-table dinner.
